I know I look like I'm absolutely furious. 🫣😂
I promise I'm not.

I just stop functioning as a normal human whenever I'm decorating a cake. I barely breathe, forget the rest of the world exists, and somehow my face decides we're in the final round of a decorating competition.

The concentration is THAT intense. 😅

Then right at the end I remembered... "Oh... maybe I should smile."😂
So I did... and somehow it looked even more suspicious than my concentrating face. 🤣

Please tell me I'm not the only one who accidentally pulls the most dramatic facial expressions when they're focused. 👇

6 years ago, lockdown had me stuck inside… so I started baking cakes.😬

What began as a random little passion slowly turned into a home business, and now into the shop many of you know as our collection point in Stapleford.

The funny part? I’m completely self-taught. No fancy course, no professional kitchen at the start — just YouTube, late nights, mistakes, buttercream everywhere… and a few tears too.😅

Back in April, Bake Me A Wish turned 6, and I still can’t believe how far this little lockdown idea has come.

I'm not a robot🤖—I make mistakes too.

I think every baker has at least one story they'd rather forget. 🫣
I've forgotten to write down orders, and I've even decorated two cakes the wrong way round... somehow ending up with two unhappy customers. 🙈

Am I proud of those moments? Not at all. But mistakes are part of being human, and every single one has taught me something.
At the end of the day, I'd rather learn from a mistake than pretend I never make them.

As a customer.. do mistakes matter more than how they're handled? How understanding would you be?😬
