Make sure you pop down and visit us this week as we are closed for annual leave from Sunday to give the team some well deserved rest over the summer !

We will be closed from Sunday 19th July and will reopen on Thursday 30th July at 08:30 as normal.

Do you know why we’re called Lambert’s?

Daniel Lambert - a near celebrity in the early 1800s - most well known for his size (waist measurement of 9 feet, 4 inches!) often frequented the pubs of Stamford.

When he passed of an unknown cause - the wall of the inn he was staying in had to be dismantled to allow his body to be taken for burial (hence the previous name of this premises - “hole in the wall”) and hence the name was born!
