Amore Italian Restaurant Stamford

We don’t usually post things like this, but this time we feel we need to.

Last Tuesday, we closed the restaurant following the heartbreaking passing of a member of the Amore family. We contacted all guests with reservations, disabled bookings and posted on Facebook and Instagram to make sure everyone knew.

Despite this, someone left us a 1-star review because they found the restaurant closed.

We understand a cancelled booking is frustrating, but sometimes compassion should come before a review.

The one star doesn’t hurt. The lack of empathy does.

Thank you to everyone who has shown us kindness and understanding during this difficult time.
