The Tickled Trout is an eatery situated in the grounds of Loynton Trout Fishery, serving delicious breakfasts all day, homemade specials and scrumptious cakes and puddings. Serving homemade meals, delicious puddings and a selection of drinks. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am - 4pm, last hot food orders 2.30pm CLOSED Mondays and Tuesdays.

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated our last weekend. We’ve enjoyed the last 16 years so thank you one and all, special thanks to Sami, our wonderful chef of over 10 years. Responsible for the delicious food and every changing menu. All is left to say is thank you, god bless ❤️

Dear friends and customers of The Tickled Trout,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce The Tickled Trout will be permanently closing its doors on Sunday 30th August.
This has not been an easy decision, but with the increasing pressures facing the hospitality industry, it has become more and more difficult to run the cafe. Rising costs, increasing overheads, staffing pressures and changing consumer spending habits are affecting businesses of all sizes and leading to many of them closing.
Over the past 16 years it has been our absolute pleasure to serve you, and we are so grateful that you have been part of our journey and for supporting our local business. Please continue to visit until our last day, we’d love to see you all. If you have any gift vouchers, please be sure to redeem them before our final day.

As tomorrow’s temperatures do not appear to be dropping we will remain closed on Friday 26th June. This is to ensure the staff are not put under any more undue stress due to the weather. Whilst having both air con and fans in the kitchen, being a timber clad building the temperatures are reaching close to 40 degrees. Therefore, please accept our apologies and we look forward to welcoming you back on Saturday 27th when normal service will resume.

Fast approaching the Bank Holiday weekend and where better to enjoy the break than here at The Tickled Trout in the grounds of Loynton Trout Fishery.
Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am, breakfasts served all day as well as a lunch menu and a scrumptious Specials Board. Featuring home made quiches, homemade lasagne with chips, salad and garlic bread, a selection of deliciously filled baked potatoes as well as cakes, scones and much much more!
