The River Terrace

The River Terrace A brunch restaurant with a riverside setting from a Tudor-era manor house on the River Great Ouse. Built in the 16th century, our space could tell many stories.

At The River Terrace, we have the privilege of operating out of a beautiful Tudor-era building. We’ve been a tearoom, butcher, dress shop, Wadsworth’s mineral water factory, and many other iterations over the last four hundred years. Ask us next time you're in for more quirky tidbits! Our space includes three dining spaces, including a bar and expansive terrace (as our namesake would imply.) We’re

lucky to enjoy 180-degree views of the ancient gantry bridge, only one of four in the country, and Hemingford meadow. Our chefs James and Dan have worked very hard to source our produce locally, with a focus on keeping seasonality at the forefront of their menus. We offer an ever-evolving brunch menu during the day. On weekend evenings, we endeavour to provide a modern British take on tapas-style dining with our small plates menu. We’re proud to showcase bread from Grain Culture, a custom roast from Brew Project, high-welfare meat from Dingley Dell and Burton's, free roam Red Lion certified eggs from Woodfarm, and English cheeses from Rennet & Rind (to name a few!)

We hope you enjoy what we've created as a team as much as we enjoy serving it to you.
