The Market Garden is currently exploding with fresh, organically grown, herbs…
Herbs are the very heart and soul of good cooking, and integrated in every dish created, from scratch, in our kitchens. Without herbs, food just lacks a little something!
Our herbs enhance every meal with colour, flavour, aroma, and they last a good couple of weeks in the fridge!!
“How do I incorporate fresh herbs in my cooking?” Here are some basics and pairings:
🌿PARSLEY – fish, chicken, salads, sauces/salsas, eggs, pasta, rice
🌿CHIVES – eggs, cream sauces, salads
🌿DILL – Fish, yoghurt dips
🌿CORIANDER - curries, soups, salsas, salads
🌿THYME – beef, chicken, veg, stocks, stews, soups, roasts
🌿SAGE – pork, poultry, sauces
🌿ROSEMARY – lamb, potatoes, roasts
Take the challenge, change things up, take the plunge, and grab a mix bunch (available from the shop) and play around, use them on their own or combined.
Tip: When cooking, add hardy herbs at the start of cooking, and softer/delicate ones towards the end, so as not to lose colour and flavour.
