On Saturday evening at 22:18 in Sowerby Bridge, a white Kia Niro (reg: 𝐍𝐅𝟔𝟗 𝐅𝐇𝐇) coming from the Ripponden direction briefly parked at the bus stop opposite Dario’s. While making a U‑turn, the vehicle struck the shop front and the metal supports holding the shutters, causing damage. The driver then left the scene without stopping and continued towards Ripponden. Please provide Darios Pizza Sowerby Bridge or West Yorkshire Police with any information you may have about this car or driver. Thank you for your cooperation.

09.Jul.25 Wednesday at around 12 o'clock 3 men with a white van (licence plate BV61NKW) stolen 2 commercial dishwashers covered with black wrap and clearly labled as "NOT FOR SCRAP" . The appliances were waiting to be transported to a repair service on a palet on Old Cawsey, behind Darios Pizza Sowerby Bridge

Our town centre branch Dario's Slice was attacked by a white male, smashed the shop windows, broke into the shop, stolen the car register, damaged the computer and run. Here is the Cctv footage...

📢 We Are Open Again – Thank You for Your Patience!

Dear customers,

We’re very pleased to announce that Dario’s Pizza is officially open for business again as of today — 12th June 2025! 🍕🎉

Following the recent closure, we’ve worked closely with Calderdale Council to resolve the issue quickly, responsibly, and transparently.

✅ A full inspection and treatment was carried out by Manor Pest Control
✅ Proofing work has been completed
✅ No further signs of rodent activity were found
✅ The premises is now fully cleared and safe to reopen
✅ Council officer Faruk Usman has confirmed we are approved to resume business

We’re grateful to everyone who supported us through this — especially our loyal customers and neighbours. Your understanding made a tough moment easier.

📢 Public Notice from Dario’s Pizza – Temporary Closure

To our valued customers,

We want to keep you informed with honesty and transparency. Following advice from Calderdale Council, Dario’s Pizza in Sowerby Bridge is currently temporarily closed following a recent hygiene inspection by Calderdale Council.

The inspection found some old signs of rodent activity in the basement, which is where our kitchen is located. However, we had already identified the issue last week and taken proactive steps:

✅ We placed traps and bait stations throughout the premises
✅ We caught and removed the rodent before the inspection
✅ Since then, there has been no further rodent activity — all bait remains untouched
✅ A full professional deep clean is already underway
✅ We are cooperating fully with the council to reopen as soon as possible

As soon as we were notified, we took swift and responsible action:

A full deep clean of the premises began immediately

All areas were carefully inspected for any further signs of rodent activity

Any possible holes, gaps or entry points were sealed completely

We also contacted a professional pest control company, who will be visiting the site on Tuesday, 11th June 2025. A full report from their visit will be submitted to the Council.

Since the inspection, no further signs of rodent activity have been found, and our bait stations remain untouched. This shows that the issue has been dealt with quickly and effectively.

We understand that pest risks can unfortunately occur in any food business, especially in older buildings. But what matters most is how we handle it — and we are committed to going above and beyond to protect our customers' health and trust.

Our entire team is fully aware of the situation and working hard to restore normal service as soon as possible.

We thank you for your patience, trust, and continued support — and we promise to return stronger, cleaner, and better than ever.
