This beach is located behind our kiosk. There is ample car parking and we are ready to serve you with ice cream and refreshments.

Highly commendable the degree of zero-carbon at point of generation electricity proposed. However, the power is generated a long distance from where it is actually consumed. Meaning that transmission cables are required between the North Sea and London. The most logical place for these is to run them along the seabed. Unfortunately National Grid have not even considered this as an option and now propose to excoriate the countryside to install the connectors between the coast and further inland where they go overgrown on pylons. This project must have a massive carbon footprint which almost negates the CO2 savings made by the wind farms. It seems ridiculous when a more ecologically sound and lower cost solution is staring us in the face. Our MP has seen the folly of theses proposals and has started a petition, link below 👇 please sign if you agree.

Our hearts go out to the businesses that were lost in last night's fire at Blackshore. Fortunately no one was injured. The Kiosk is OPEN AS USUAL today and Ferry Road is open at least as far as the car park.
