**Shout out/appreciation/ time to embarrass post **

15 year old Leon was an early Bay customer, coming to our van in Fratton for a hot chocolate on his way to school.

Although quiet then (yeah we know🤣) he always asked if we had any jobs and showed up early. So he was first in line when we moved into the Old Slaughterhouse as our new front of house.

As BAY COFFEE has grown Leon has too and has been a much-loved and crucial part of our story to date.

As he heads off to Uni we want to wish him all the best and hope he will be back to visit in the holidays.

Leon - we are most grateful for your hard work, your commitment and humour at BAY and we are going to miss you very much!

Leon will be working tomorrow (Monday 14th) with his final day at BAY Wednesday 16th should you wish to pop by and say goodbye.

Thank you Leon 💙🫶🏼 (the trolley will always be here waiting)!

** BAY COFFEE turns 3 **

So on Sunday 6th August 2023 we rolled Ernie out to Beach Dubbin’ ready to sling some shots and try make some coffee suitable for purchase……

In a blink of the eye we have turned 3 today and I cannot believe how quickly that has flown by .

“Time flies when you’re having fun “

We have been incredibly blessed to have been helped and supported along the way by you guys , the BAY community 🫶🏼.

The friendships , business relationships and support networks that have been established and developed in our little cave is something we are most proud of.

From the bottom of my heart Thank you all for your business , your friendship, kindness and support , your humour and compassion to others and for making this little community something to be proud of 🥹🖤.

We have shared the loss of someone very special to many of us and have been privileged to welcome lots of brand new fresh and shiny BAYLINGS to our growing community , also given far too many 🐶 treats to our furry members 😬 🐶 🫶🏼.

To the BAY team ( Helen , Leon, Maisie, Alex and Ols ) and former Liv and Auntie Tracy , thank you for your hard work , support, patience, resilience and humour . We appreciate you all 🫶🏼.

Please remember, our door is always open ( 7am - 13:00 😬) and the kettle ( coffee machine☺️ ) is always on ……

** WE ARE HIRING - front of house hero **

The sad time is approaching when Leon will fly the nest ….🥲

This means we have an upcoming vacancy at Bay…

We are looking for a hard working and friendly person who has a genuine interest in people, creating high-quality drinks and random chat!

You will need to be available weekends (with holidays agreed in advance). From 6:45 - 13:45 (Saturday & Sunday, possibility of an additional Wednesday shift TBC).

You will be the face of Bay that greets with a friendly face, takes orders and payments, assists with making drinks, replenishment of stock and general cleaning of the shop.

A day at Bay is fun and fast paced - we aim to produce quality at speed with accuracy whilst checking in with our community and being social.

Experience would be beneficial but not essential as training can be offered.
