Here to embarrass Wendy, my work mother and somebody who is so supportive and loving of everybody who has walked through this door.

Wendy, it has been the biggest pleasure to have spent time in the Chesh with you leading the way. I’ve made friends for life. You and Brian and the whole team have been perfect to the end! I love you all endlessly! Bald Harry loves you! (I wonder who added this part)

💔 OUR FINAL DAY AT THE CHESHIRE LINES 💔

And just like that… the day we never really wanted to arrive is here. 😢

Today is our final day at The Cheshire Lines, and after everything we’ve shared over the last two years, it’s going to be an incredibly emotional one. ❤️

Unfortunately, our kitchen will be closed today, but the bar will be open for one final day of drinks, memories, hugs and goodbyes. 🥂🍻

We will be closing the pub at 6pm, so please come down and raise a glass with us before we say our final farewell. 🥹❤️

To every single person who has walked through those doors, supported us, laughed with us, sung with us, eaten with us and made The Chesh what it has been…

❤️ There’s one person who deserves some very special recognition… ❤️

So much of what happens behind the scenes goes unnoticed, but there is one person who has quietly been there through it all, keeping things working, ticking over and making sure everything is okay.

He’s our muscles when we need them 💪, our doorman when we need one 🚪, and our taxi 🚕, making sure our staff, our elderly customers and those who matter to us get home safely.

He’s been a work dad to our staff, always looking out for everyone, helping wherever he can and being there when we need him.

And for me personally, he has been my rock. ❤️

The last two years would have been so very different without him, and honestly, we could not have succeeded without him.

He’s the kind of person who doesn’t need the spotlight, but I want to make sure he gets it.

Brian — you are loved, appreciated and valued more than you probably realise. ❤️

💔🎤 I honestly can’t believe I’m actually writing this… tonight is the LAST karaoke with me at the Chesh! 🎤💔

This pub has become such a huge part of my life since I migrated here from Geordieland, and for the last 2 years it’s been a massive part of my world. ❤️

I’m going to miss these nights more than I can put into words. The singing, the laughter, the questionable dance moves 😂, the friendships, and most of all… all of you who have made these nights so special. 🥰

I always knew that once the pub was no longer mine, things would feel different, and I just didn’t feel that I could continue with karaoke once I’d handed over the reins. It’s a decision that hasn’t been easy, but it feels like the right time to close this chapter. 💔

So tonight, let’s not dwell on the fact that it’s the last one… let’s make it one to remember! 🎤🥂🎶

Sing your hearts out, have a laugh, make some memories and let’s give the Chesh one final karaoke night to remember! ❤️

Here we are… our last weekend at The Cheshire Lines 😢❤️

Tonight will be our last ever karaoke with Wendy (Angel of the North) 🎤✨ and if the turnout is anything like last weekend, then we’re in for one VERY busy and emotional night! 🥳🍻🎶

I’d like to personally thank every single person who came out last weekend for our ‘Leaving Party’. ❤️🥹 The love in that room was incredible, and I honestly felt every bit of it. It was the most perfect way to top off what has been an absolutely amazing 2 years with you all. 🥰🍻

To all of our wonderful regulars, you have become so much more than just customers. ❤️ You’ve become friends, familiar faces and my ‘Chesh family’ 🥹❤️ and you have made these last two years such a special and unforgettable chapter of my life. I will always be grateful for the memories, the laughs, the chats, the celebrations and even the chaos! 😂❤️

And then there’s my fabulous team… ❤️ Most of you have been with me through it all, through the good days, the crazy days and everything in between. You have worked so hard, supported me and put so much of yourselves into this little journey with me.

I love you all like you’re my own ❤️ and I genuinely cannot thank you enough for everything you have done. You’ve been a huge part of making The Cheshire Lines what it has been, and I’ll carry those memories with me forever. 🥹❤️
