Round About Café A community café serving delicious, affordable food and drinks with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Visit us and become a member of our Community Pantry to help reduce food waste and save money. Round About Café is a community facility for the people of Mansbridge. You can drop in for a cappuccino, a sandwich or some lovely cake! You can use the laptops and free WiFi or just come and relax with a book. We also provide training opportunities as well as community activities - have a look at our 'W

hat's on' page on our website to what we've got planned! We are always looking for volunteers so if you can spare a few hours a week or month, get in contact!

🎉 Meet the winners of the first Round About Café Quiz Night! 🎉

Congratulations to Team M.A.N (Mike, Alan and Norman), who claimed victory after correctly answering the tie-break question! 🏆

We welcomed 16 people to the café for an evening of fun, laughter and friendly competition. More importantly, new connections were made, conversations were shared, and people had the chance to get to know others in the community.

The feedback was fantastic, with everyone asking for more quiz nights, so we're pleased to say we'll be back with another one in August.

🌼 Power of Hello at Round About Café 🌼

We are proud to be part of the Southampton Mental Health Network and to be celebrating Southampton Mental Health Friendly Day on Wednesday 8 July.

Join us between 8am and 2pm for a warm and welcoming “Power of Hello” event.
Simply say the magic words “Hello Round About Café” when you arrive and enjoy a free cupcake as a small gesture to encourage positive, everyday connections.

Take a seat at our friendly "Hello Table" if you would like to have a chat and meet someone new, or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. You will also find gentle conversation starters on each table to help get people talking.

We will also be sharing information about local mental health services and support groups, so you can find out what is available in the community.

Abri's Community Fund is open for applications until 21 July!

Here's a taste of what we have available at the Community Pantry this week*

Some highlights this week vegetables, vegan mince, cheese, juice and smoothie.

If you'd like to join the pantry, pop in and see a member of staff. Anyone with an SO postcode can join for £1 per year, members can shop once a week and choose up to 10 items for £3.50 or up to 15 items for £5.

😊We’re welcoming a range of organisations to hold drop in sessions at Round About Cafe to chat, offer advice and support around things like cost of living, wellbeing, employment and more😊

We’re running these sessions to make it easier for people to access support in a relaxed, familiar setting, helping connect residents with local services without the need for appointments or formal events.

It’s all informal, just pop in, have a chat and see what’s available.

Today- Southampton Primary Care – Health Checks
Free mini health checks including blood pressure, pulse, blood glucose, height and weight.

13 July- Healthwatch
Give information, guidance and support about health and social care services. They gather people’s views and experiences to highlight issues and influence change.

📝Quiz Night at Round About Café📝

As part of Southampton Mental Health Friendly Day join us for a relaxed and friendly evening quiz focused on connection, conversation and a bit of fun.
Wednesday 8 July, 6.30pm

This is not your typical competitive quiz night. It is all about getting to know other people, having a laugh and enjoying time together in a welcoming space.

£1 per person (cash)

Teams of up to four, or come along on your own and we will match you with a team.
The winning team will take home the prize pot, with other small prizes for second and third place.
