Here at Missy cupcake I love to bake everything from a box of delicious cupcakes to beautiful tiered celebration cakes and everything in between. All cakes are baked and decorated using only the freshest, finest ingredients to ensure you not only receive a cake which looks great but tastes great

too. I hold all relevant food health & hygiene and allergen certificates , full public liability insurance and have had my home kitchen inspected by Southampton City Council receiving a 5* hygiene rating.

Please bare with me during the heatwave 🌞
During the extreme heat there are so many things to consider and adjustments that need to be made to ensure you receive your orders to the same high quality as always. This means adjusting my working hours to hopefully work when its cooler , either very early or late. Running 2 ovens has created a kitchen like a sauna 🥵
Working with buttercream and fresh cream has meant everything is constantly in and out of the fridge in-between each stage which is time consuming. Ganache ratios have been increased meaning lots more chocolate is being used to increase the melting point and ( hopefully) keep cakes stable underneath premium sugarpaste which needs to be worked with quickly and in a room as cool as possible before it turns into a sticky mess .
The perfect finish I strive for is much more difficult but I'll get there and messages will be answered as soon as possible .

The traditional material for a 5th wedding anniversary is wood and so when one of my previous brides asked me to create a small cake to celebrate this pretty tree stump design with sugar rose was perfect.
A delicious mocha flavour as a reminder of their wedding cake , created from layers of chocolate cake and coffee buttercream with a smooth milk chocolate ganache underneath a bark effect sugarpaste.

This beautiful buttercream wedding cake was delivered to The Botley Grange Hotel last weekend .
Organised with the mother of the bride from start to finish it was an absolute pleasure working together.
The gorgeous faux flowers were created by All About Flowers at Botley Mills and were exactly what I was hoping for.
