The Four Horseshoes were very happy to refresh Lawrence Parnell as he takes on his 465km Challenge in aid of an incredible children's cancer charity Abby's Heroes

The challenge is simple in theory but getting tougher every day – he has to run the number of kilometres that matches the date.

That means today, the 22nd, is 22km, tomorrow is 23km, and it just keeps increasing until the end of the month! Running a total of 465km!

He's showing amazing determination and commitment and we'd love to help him raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference. Even a couple of pounds would mean so much and help support children and their families facing cancer.

Diary Alert! - The Four Horseshoes next is Wednesday the 24th June. Arrival from 18:30 for the quiz to start at 19:00, entry is £2 per person and a maximum of 7 people in each team.

Please come along and join us for a great atmosphere, delicious food and refreshing drinks as you answer the questions and enjoy a little friendly rivalry.

The Four Horseshoes continue our Supper Club World cuisine journey next month, with our Tapas Night on Tuesday 7th July

Expect a flavour‑packed evening dedicated entirely to Tapas. We have starters of Sticky Glazed Pork Belly Skewers, Chorizo al Vino Tinto and Lamb Albóndigas to name a few. We have seafood mains of Gambas Pil Pil, Crab Arancini and Calamari plus more. We also have a Vegetarian and Vegan selection of Patatas Bravas, Roasted Aubergine and Tomato, plus Charred Padrón Peppers.
