🌿✨ Lino Printing Workshop Returns to Woodmill Coffee Kitchen! ✨🌿

We’re delighted to welcome back the talented artists Rachel and Louise for another beautiful botanical-themed lino printing workshop at Woodmill Coffee Kitchen.

Spend a relaxed and creative morning learning the art of lino printing, taking inspiration from flowers, foliage, and nature. This time, they will be exploring how to create a multicoloured print with the use of rainbow and jigsaw printing techniques. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have tried printmaking before, Rachel and Louise will guide you through the process of creating your own unique botanical print to take home.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined local artists Rachael & Louise for the Underwater Ink Workshop at Woodmill Café & Kitchen.

Attendees spent a few creative hours on the Bank Holiday Monday exploring a range of ink techniques including blooms, layering, texture and wet-on-wet effects, followed with expressive jellyfish warm-up paintings designed to help everyone loosen up and experiment freely.

From there, everyone created their own final underwater-inspired artwork, with beautiful whale sharks, fish and blue whales emerging throughout the session.

The gorgeous upstairs room at Woodmill proved to be the perfect setting for the workshop too — full of natural light and a calm creative atmosphere.

It was lovely seeing everyone experiment and produce such unique work.

As Mondays go, this is a great one. ☀️

Bank holiday Monday, the sun is shining, and Woodmill Coffee Kitchen is open for coffee, breakfast, brunch, cakes and a little bit of time by the river.

This time we’ll be creating in the gorgeous upstairs space at the café — full of beautiful natural light and such a calm, inspiring atmosphere to spend a creative morning in.

Join local artists Louise & Rachael for a relaxing ink workshop exploring underwater themes including whales, jellyfish, coral, octopus and ocean-inspired designs.

No experience needed at all — this workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting a few mindful creative hours.

Dive into creativity with us this May.

Local artists Louise & Rachael are back at Woodmill Café & Kitchen for another relaxing Ink Workshop — this time with an underwater theme.

From whales and jellyfish to coral, octopus and ocean-inspired designs, you’ll have a range of sea life and underwater themes to choose from as you create your own beautiful ink artwork.

No experience is needed, making this workshop perfect for beginners as well as anyone looking to enjoy a creative few hours in a relaxed setting.

We had a fantastic turnout for our lino printing workshop led by local artists Louise and Rachael 🎨

If you popped into the café Monday, you may have spotted the group getting creative — experimenting with bold colours, different surfaces, and bringing these brilliant bug-inspired designs to life. It was great to see such a variety of styles and ideas!

Keep an eye out for future workshops from the pair, where they’ll be exploring a range of mediums including acrylics, inks, watercolours, lino printing and more.
