🍬 Right… I need to admit something! 😂

I bought a bag of these Cocktail Mix Gourmet Sweets from Scarlett’s City Treats thinking I’d just have a couple…

Well… that plan lasted about 30 seconds! 🤣

They are absolutely gorgeous! 😍 Soft, fruity and packed with flavour. My favourites have to be the Strawberry Daiquiri and Passionfruit Martini ones… although to be fair, I don’t think there was a bad one in the bag! 🍓🍇🍹

If you’re looking for a little treat for yourself, movie night, or a gift for someone with a sweet tooth, I’d definitely recommend giving them a try.

Be warned though… one bag probably won’t be enough! 😂🍬

🍓 Don’t let good fruit go to waste! 🍇🍑

One thing we’re trying to do at home is waste less food.

Rather than leaving fruit in the fridge until it’s past its best, we’ve started turning it into a quick breakfast.

Today’s bowl includes:
🍓 Strawberries
🍇 Grapes
🍑 Apricots
🥣 Greek yoghurt
🌾 Oats & muesli
🥥 Coconut
🍯 A drizzle of honey

It took less than five minutes to make, filled me up and meant nothing went to waste.

❤️ The best part of my day…

After a busy day, I finally got to spend some time with my mam.

Seeing her smiling like this made my day. 🥰

It’s been a difficult couple of weeks, but today felt like a good day, and that’s something I’m really grateful for.

Thank you to everyone who has sent messages, checked in and kept asking how she’s doing. Your kindness hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Treasure the time you have with the people you love. ❤️

Today didn’t quite go how I expected…

I went to the GP hoping to start HRT, but my blood pressure was too high.

Rather than giving up, we’ve made a plan.

Today my blood pressure medication has been increased, and in two weeks I’ll be back for another blood pressure check and blood tests. If things have improved, hopefully I’ll be able to start HRT.

Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I’ve decided to use the next two weeks to really look after myself.

That means meal planning, eating more home-cooked food, drinking more water and making healthier choices where I can.

I’m not doing it to be perfect.

I’m doing it because I want to feel better.

So over the next couple of weeks I’ll share some of the meals I’m making and maybe it’ll give someone else a few ideas too. ❤️

Good morning everyone! ☕💛

For the first time in what feels like forever… I’m still in my pyjamas at 10am with a coffee in hand. 😊

After four long care shifts and a little overtime yesterday, this morning feels like a luxury.

I’ve already got my mam’s washing on, I’m spending some time with Willow, and later I’ll be heading to the hospital to see Mam.

Then it’s time to put my City Boxes hat back on. 🍓🥕

No deliveries today, but that’s okay. Today is all about planning, creating some fresh content, getting a few leaflets out and building City Boxes for the future.

Sometimes the business doesn’t just grow through deliveries… it grows through the work you do behind the scenes too.

Whatever you’re doing today, I hope you get five minutes to enjoy a coffee and take a breath.

Well… that’s it! ❤️

Four long care shifts, a little bit of overtime this morning and then visiting mam in hospital this afternoon and I’m officially off! 🥳

This week has definitely been one of those weeks, so tonight I’m doing absolutely nothing productive.

🛁 Bubble bath… ✔️
🍕 Takeaway pizza… ✔️
👨‍👩‍👧 Family time… ✔️

Sometimes the best thing you can do is switch off, recharge and spend time with the people who matter most.

Tomorrow, I’ll be back visiting my mam and getting my City Boxes hat back on. 🍓🥕 There might not be any deliveries tomorrow, but there’ll be plenty of planning, posting and promoting as we keep building our little business.

Whatever you’re doing tonight, I hope you get chance to put your feet up too.
