It comes with a heavy heart that we announce our retirement and that Frankies Diner is no more.

It makes us extremely sad that after 17 years of service to the community we didn't get to say goodbye in the way we would have liked.

We would like to thank all of our staff over the years for all their hard work and a massive thank you to all of our customers.

We have loved being part of South Shields and have made some great friends along the way.

We are pleased to announce that that cafe has now been taken over by rosies cafe and it has opened this week.

We wish them all the success in the world. Please get yourself along and support a fantastic local business.

We will miss you all so much. Thanks again.

After the latest announcement from the government we will be closing the cafe as of today.

We would like to thank all of our customers for your continued support during these difficult last few weeks.

This is Dan, he is an amazing young talent.

He will be performing on Saturday 1st June from 2pm. Get yourself along and enjoy a meal and maybe a glass of wine or a pint 😛

He is a fantastic performer and it would be great if you could all come along and support this up and coming act. 😁
