🥖 WE’RE HIRING | BAKER WANTED 🥐

We’re looking for a passionate Baker to join our growing team at Leaf & Loaf.

If you love working with quality ingredients and take pride in creating fresh, handcrafted bakes, we’d love to hear from you.

Your role will include producing a daily selection of:
• Artisan sourdough loaves
• Italian focaccia
• Japanese milk bread
• White, wholemeal and seeded artisan breads
• Fresh croissants and pastries
• Homemade scones
• Cakes, traybakes and sweet treats
• Seasonal bakery specials

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand new artisan bakery, creating fresh products every day for our bakery counter, bistro and sister companies.

Experience in artisan bread making is preferred, but we’re equally looking for someone with passion, creativity, attention to detail and a genuine love for baking.

✨ A New Chapter Begins ✨

The former Potting Shed Bistro is becoming Leaf & Loaf this September.

We’re building on everything you’ve come to know and love while introducing a fresh new garden bistro, artisan bakery and coffee house concept for South Shields.

You’ll still find many of your favourite dishes, alongside exciting new additions including filled croissants, authentic Italian focaccia sandwiches, artisan brunch toasts, seasonal specials, homemade desserts and a daily bakery counter stocked with breads, quiches, sausage rolls, scones and sweet treats.

Sunday dining is evolving too, with our much loved traditional lunches joined by generous sharing roast boards, indulgent desserts and even more bakery favourites.

Our drinks menu is getting a makeover with premium speciality coffees, matcha, chai, iced drinks, wines, premium beers, ciders and refreshing Spritz cocktails.

The venue itself will also be completely transformed with a warm, contemporary garden inspired interior.

The Potting Shed remains open as usual throughout the summer. Towards the end of the school holidays, we’ll close briefly for refurbishment before reopening as Leaf & Loaf in September.

This isn’t about replacing what people love. It’s about building on it.

We can’t wait to share more with you over the coming weeks.
