Omg how excited am I for my tea tonight. David brought haddock home from the Valhalla 🫶🩵 its soooo good. I think haddock from Rockall is superb. I know it's a personal choice but tonight's tea was 👌10/10.
And when I peeked in the batter bag I can see some big crispy bits and I feel I've won the lotto 😆🤣😆🤣 or is that just me ha ha 🩵

🏏 MATCH REPORT | CLEADON CC WIN BY 47 RUNS 🏏

A superb all-round team performance saw Cleadon return to winning ways with a convincing 47-run victory over East Rainton Cricket Club at Oakleigh Gardens. 💚💛

After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, skipper Chris Glancey anchored the innings brilliantly with an unbeaten 50*, supported by Dan Tansey (38) and Dean Allerton (24) as Cleadon posted a competitive 182-8 from their 40 overs.

With the ball, the lads never let East Rainton settle. M. Subramaniam led the attack with an excellent 3-22, while Steven Winter claimed 2-30 as wickets fell regularly throughout the innings.

East Rainton’s K. Hutchinson kept the visitors in the contest with a well-made 75, but with rain beginning to arrive, Matthew Willis struck to remove the danger man with the final wicket of the innings, finishing with 1-8 as East Rainton were bowled out for 135 in 31.3 overs.

A complete team performance with contributions right across the side, securing another valuable league victory on home soil. 👏

Thank you everyone who has visited the shop this week🫶. That heat has been insane 🔥🥵🔥🥵

To be honest we thought it would have been a bit of a quieter week but you just proved us wrong.

The shop was incredibly hot and the girls have soldiered on. A big shout out to Leslie Allan who was kind enough to bring the crew some ice cream. Your thoughtfulness and kindness won't be forgotten.
