Somerset CAMRA pub of the year runner up 2023, 2024 & 2025! 🍻 The Brewers Arms and Old Bakehouse Restaurant are found at the centre of the bustling Hamstone village of South Petherton, just half a mile from the A303. Dating from the 17th century, this old coaching inn has much to offer with its lively village bar, relaxed dining rooms and three en-suite bedrooms. The Brewers Arms has been awarded a ‘Taste of the West’ silver and gold award, is currently Somerset CAMRA's Pub of the Year runner up and has also won the Western Gazette pub of the Year 2013.

Could you be part of the future of South Petherton Carnival? 🎭

Following another fantastic carnival, our AGM is coming up and we’d really love to see some new faces there.

South Petherton Carnival relies entirely on people giving their time to keep it going, and with some changes to the committee ahead, this is a really important year for people to come forward and get involved.

You don’t need any previous experience, and coming along to the AGM doesn’t mean you’ll suddenly be given a huge job!

Whether you could help throughout the year, take on a particular role, support at events, or simply want to find out a little more about what goes on behind the scenes, you’ll be very welcome.

If you enjoyed Carnival Night this year and would like to play a part in keeping it going for the village, please come along. ❤️

Our collection total for the evening is

£1222.79p!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who put money in the buckets as the procession passed through the village, and of course to all of our wonderful collectors who carried buckets, and to those who donated online 🙂

Also to our main collecting vehicle C & D South West Ltd who kindly provide the collecting vehicle each year 💓

(And our carnival appeal vehicle which inadvertently became a secondary collecting vehicle!🥲)

This is an increase on last years amount 😊

And that’s not all…
🎟️ Our Carnival Draw, hosted by The Brewers Arms, raised another fantastic £800!

All profits from the carnival will be split between local charities and organisations at the AGM
