We had a lovely day yesterday celebrating the new Mr & Mrs!
The only trouble is when you go out out as you get older (one of us older than the other) it seems to take longer to recover 😂 so with that in mind please be aware that we will be closed tomorrow.

Wishing everyone taking part in South Petherton Carnival Good Luck today! To all the entrants, local groups and everyone watching have fun and enjoy this amazing annual event.
A lot of the work that goes into this event often goes unnoticed so sending a lot of thanks and appreciation to the Carnival Committee & The guys at the Brewers Arms as well as anyone else who gives up time to make this event happen every year.

Sadly we won’t be opening today but for the best reason.
We’re off to Celebrate the lovely Georgie from Identity Hair Salon as she marries the equally as lovely George.

Please be aware that due to the adverse heat conditions we will be closing at 12 midday Thursday & Friday this week as the kitchen gets to hot!
We may be operating on a reduced menu but will judge that on the day as we assess the temperatures!

*RUBBISH*

Please can we ask anyone who passes or lives in the vicinity of the cafe not to use our bins.

We pay a lot of money for the bin we do have and would be grateful if it wasn’t being filled with everyone else’s household rubbish.

This morning we found multiple bags of rubbish that haven’t come from us.
In one of the bags we did find an address and have attempted to rectify this issue and will speak with the landlord when we see him Friday.

In the meantime we would appreciate it if any household or general rubbish could be disposed of using your own bins!

Reduced Hours ☀️☀️

Please note due to the ongoing extreme hot weather we will be closing at 12 midday Monday and Tuesday!

The past week or so has seen a reduction in people coming through the door and believe this is weather related so for this reason and for our own health we have made this decision.

Evening all,

Please be aware that we will be closed tomorrow as normal but in addition to that will also be closing on Thursday due to the predicted hot weather.
The safety of all is paramount and this includes my Mum who very rarely admits defeat but needs to put herself first for a change.

Stay safe throughout these bizarre temperatures, look after yourself and each other.

It’s going to be a busy day so we are more than happy to take pre orders with with your preferred collection times. These can be given directly to us in the next few days in the cafe or message on our page.

On one of the hottest days we’ve had since we’ve been here and just as we were about to call it a day we had our food hygiene inspector turn up for our routine inspection.

Great feedback and we are pleased to say that we have been given 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As the bank holiday comes to an end we move our focus onto the folk festival.
