Raymond is at the same training with me too! We have learnt crazy amount about hand brewing today and have had a ton of fun. Can’t wait for the next 2 days! 🤩

Memoirs of some last purrs of Black Cat 🖤

We are super grateful to everyone that come in the last week to say your goodbye, and all the kind words, and all the kind thoughtful gifts. Now I have more flowers than all the vases I have owned my whole life. One of our customers used to say, if we could turn all the friendships into currency, we would have been billionaire!

These coming 2 weeks would be extremely busy with moving out and sorting out all the legal process. If you walk past and see us please feel free to say hello. There are many tears but we are in good spirits, and we still love coffee deeply. We will promise you to keep updating you with where we will be about and our next coffee things.

So here it is, our provisional last day of trading will be Sunday 11th June, which means next week would be the last week of trading. Sorry that we wish we could leave more time for notice, but there’s much complication in the these couple weeks.

Thank you for all your understanding and kindness during this difficult time. It has been extremely challenging and emotional to handle everything at the background while still trying to offer the best service we can. (I am so sorry when I forgot to make you a babycino or forgot to cut you a slice of cake) We are so overwhelmed with everyone’s love and support - we received poems, lovely cards, and some even offered to be our angel investors if we stay open! We are SO SO GRATEFUL and we would like to thank everyone again for your love for us. Thank you, thank you!

We have created many great memories during our one year journey in here. We have seen precious new born babies. We have seen them grow and made them their first babycinos. We have seen dating couples getting married. We have supported some local friends fighting diseases. We have made friends with many adorable furry friends and their owners. We have laughed with our customers, we have cried with our customers. These memories are so special and we will hold them dearly to our hearts wherever we go.

We are very proud of what we have created - our beautiful space, best coffee in the area and our genuine care for all our customers. We don’t treat you just as customers, but as guests to our home. At the same time, it is also humbling to learn many business and personal lessons.

Business hasn’t grown as fast as our costs. I am very grateful that my husband and my family have been so supportive emotionally and financially the whole time. Now I feel it’s the time to stop taking them for granted and to spend some quality time with them.

I know rumour spreads about why we close, I would like to ask for your kindness to give us some space and respect all the parties involved in the closing process. There is no villain in this story. We don’t want to burn any bridges and we are still keeping good terms and good credits with everyone.

I know many of you are concerned about what we will do next. Please don’t worry, we know we are amazing and there are good opportunities out there for us. We are all going to stay in the coffee industry and keep spreading the Black Cat love to wider area. I am going to keep this social media account (will change to @ black_cat_drinks_coffee soon) and update everyone with my next coffee thing. Josh (instagram ) is going to be working in London as a coffee manager but I will let him update you when he’s ready!
