Look who's popped in for a visit...Arthur Guinness!

🏡🌾2-4pm all welcome to Helpringham Memorial Hall to grab a map & take part in their 'My Hero' Scarecrow Festival this Sunday 13th September.

☕️🍬There will be cream tea, teas & coffees free in the hall as well as games & a Sweet Shop by Acorn Judo Club & you can discover the history of the Hall too. All Welcome!

🍖🥕The Brass Windmill have a few Sunday Roast Dinner spaces available, so why not secure a table for lunch before going scarecrow spotting?!

August's Book Club Review...our first male author!

⭐️A cheeky collective of 3.8 which collated a mix of 2-5 star ratings for by Mark Billingham , check out our review below!

💡A new challenge, set over August, tasked each of us to choose an author we would like to read the work of, but never have! These all went into a pot & will be picked out to decide the author choices put forward to vote for October & November's reads - how exciting!

🧡We welcomed 2 new members to our Book Club also!

📚The 3 brilliant books pitched for our September's book vote were;
'Gone Before Goodbye' by Harlan Coben & Reese Witherspoon
'Ferney' by James Long
'The One Hundred Years of Lenni & Margot' by Marianne Cronin

📖Taking the winning vote by only 2 for September's chosen book was by James Long! A 500+ pager for this month's read!😵‍💫

☕️A reminder our The Brass Windmill café is open to the public as normal in our restaurant area, pool room & outdoors from 11am during Book Club times.
