✨ Exciting Update: Transforming Our Living Area ✨

As many of you already know, here at Syne Hills Residential Home we’re nurturing our creative vision and embarking on something wonderful: we are completely refurbishing our main living area!

Our goal is to turn the current space into a calm, tranquil haven — somewhere peaceful and uplifting for everyone. We’re creating a dedicated bar zone and a cosy tuck shop area, where residents can relax, socialise, and feel truly at home.

We’d love your help! 💛

To bring this beautiful space to life, we’re kindly reaching out for donations of any items that could support our project. Things we’d be so grateful for include:
✅ Drink optics & bar accessories/fridges
✅ Soft, warm lighting & lamps
✅ Artificial flowers & greenery
✅ Bar mats, coasters & decor
✅ Any other lovely touches you think would fit perfectly

Every single donation — big or small — makes such a difference and helps us create a happy, calming space our residents will adore.

📸 Please scroll through our photos below to see the space before, our progress during, and the beautiful inspiration guiding our design.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey with us 💙

🍂 Syne Hills Care Home — Daily Update 🍂

Creativity and connection filled our day here at Syne Hills!

This morning, we embarked on a wonderful seasonal project: crafting beautiful autumn tree scenes using real leaves as natural stencils. The results are absolutely stunning — full of warmth, colour, and that special handcrafted charm only nature’s own shapes can bring. We’ve already had such enthusiastic feedback that many more residents have asked to join in and create their own masterpieces tomorrow — we can’t wait! 💛

This afternoon, we enjoyed a lovely, relaxing pamper session too — with residents enjoying gentle manicures, a little bit of self-care, and plenty of smiles and chat along the way. 💅

It’s days like these — full of creativity, calm, and coming together — that make our Syne Hills community so very special.

Watch this space for more of our autumn artwork tomorrow! 🍁

This morning we have held a MacMillan coffee morning to raise awareness of the amazing job they do.

We were so pleased to welcome back our lovely Volunteer. We have all missed her so much and everyone was thrilled to see her.

This morning we had great fun starting to make a scarecrow for our autumn/harvest festival themed events. Residents worked together to stuff the scarecrow with newspaper. Another resident created the face.

This afternoon by popular demand we played bingo.

We have had a really busy sunny Sunday.

This morning we played snakes and ladders. This afternoon we played everyone's favourite, bingo.

One lovely lady wanted a walk around the block as the weather was so nice.

What a fabulous morning we have had at the Village Church Farm Museum Pinch of Lincolnshire day.

They had great stalls, a lovely gift shop, beautiful cakes in the cafe, friendly staff and volunteers and great entertainment.

We looked at all the old farming equipment, Holly House, the steam engines and the war memorabilia. The residents enjoyed reminiscing about the items they recognised from their grandparents era.

Today we have continued making our autumn wreaths and had a good laugh whilst we were doing it.

Today we have made a start on decorating the home in autumnal colours ready for our Harvest festival on Sunday 4th Oct.

We began making wreaths with crafting materials very kindly donated to the home. Thanks again it is really appreciated.

Another resident got to go out and grab some fish and chips with our old director who she remains close friends with.
