📸 Another nostalgic post and one that might give our followers mixed feelings! 😂

Just look at those prices from 1971! Fish and chips for 21p, fish for 13p, chips for 8p and fishcake and chips for 16p.

And look at that menu! How simple was it? Fish, chips, fishcakes, chicken, peas and curry. That was pretty much it!

Our tastes have certainly expanded over the years, and so has the choice available in your local chippy.

📸 Aw, look at this for a nostalgic photo, 25 years ago at Joe’s!

A little trip down memory lane ❤️ This was Mickey and Deirdre Kennedy behind the counter when they first took over Joe’s, serving up good old fashioned fish and chips, pies cooked in the fat (if you know, you know 😉), and plenty of craic, often until the wee small hours!

Mickey and Deirdre were the 5th owners of the shop since 1944, and they ran Joe’s for five years, making plenty of memories along the way.

While a few things have changed over the years, we are still keeping the tradition of good food alive and we have of course added plenty of new items too…❤️

🍔 Another new smash burger… recipe test 👀

We’ve been in the kitchen testing out another one… and this time it’s a Sticky Sloppy Joe Smash Burger. 🤤

We’re still playing around with recipes, so this one isn’t on the menu… yet! 👀

But what do you think? Would you like to see this one make the cut?

Crispy-edged smash burgers, melted American cheese and a generous pile of rich, sticky Sloppy Joe beef, slow-cooked with smoked bacon, chipotles in adobo and smoked paprika for that unreal smoky, sweet and spicy hit.

Sharp dill pickles cut through the richness, crispy onions bring the crunch, and the whole lot is loaded into a toasted brioche bun.

Smoky, sticky, cheesy, a little spicy and seriously messy 🔥
