A huge THANK YOU to all followers, friends and family who have supported me with this charity fundraiser for Lingen Davies Cancer Support to the tune of £3,000 so far!!!

It’s now Friday evening. With the fridge screen still showing 29 degrees, I’ve assembled my hiking kit for this weekend’s mighty challenge. Yes, I’m doing it!

Tomorrow morning at 5:00am I will start from the Kingsland Bridge in Shrewsbury and attempt to walk the entire length of the Shropshire Way’s northern loop – a total distance of 75 miles (120km) – non-stop without sleep – and within 36 hours. The route will take me to Haughmond Abbey, Wem, Ellesmere, Llanymynech, Melverley, Nescliffe and eventually back to Shrewsbury. I hope to be back in Shrewsbury on Sunday, in the mid to late afternoon, where I plan to rehydrate in my favourite craft beer pub, the Tap & Can! Join me there for a pint!

TAP AND CAN ON TOUR x REVOLUTION GROOVES

SHREWSBURY, LET’S HAVE A BOOGIE.

This Saturday, Tap and Can teams up with Revolution Grooves for a night of proper tunes, proper beer at English Bridge Studios.

Expect an evening of dusty vinyl, funk, soul, disco, reggae, house and the kind of tunes that make you forget what time it is. No algorithms. No playlists. Just DJs digging deep into their record collections and doing what they do best.

While Revolution Grooves provide the soundtrack, we’ll be behind the bar from 7pm–12am pouring:

🥂 Plus plenty of other beers, spirits, wine and softs to keep you dancing all night.

The sofas of Shropshire can keep their lukewarm Carling, this is a game that deserves to be watched with a crowd.

We’re open from 5pm and, quite conveniently, it’s Tuesday. Which means £5 pints all night.

Get down early, claim your bench, get a couple in and soak up the atmosphere before kick-off.

Our pals at Pita are opening especially for the game too, serving until 10pm. Scan the QR code, order from your seat and they’ll bring it straight to your table. No queueing. No missing the goals. No watching someone else’s dodgy stream on their phone.

We’re running a World Cup sweepstake to raise money for , with 50% of the pot going directly to charity.

The weather’s warm. It’s very much cider season. And we’ve just added this beauty.
