❤️ A little thank you from us…

We honestly don’t know where to start.

Since sharing our news yesterday, we have been completely overwhelmed by the incredible response from all of you.

The messages, comments, private messages, phone calls, shares and kind words have meant more to us than we could ever properly put into words. ❤️

We knew the café meant a lot to many of you, but seeing just how much you have supported us, valued what we have built and appreciated our team has been genuinely emotional.

We have read every single comment, and although we may not be able to respond to everyone individually, please know that we have seen them, we have read them, and we are incredibly grateful.

There have understandably been a lot of questions about why this has happened, and we have also seen a lot of assumptions and speculation.

We completely understand that.

Yesterday, we deliberately kept the details to a minimum because there were things we were not yet in a position to discuss publicly. We wanted our first post to be about our staff, our customers and the café we have built together, rather than turning it into something else.

We feel that everyone who has supported us, worked alongside us and invested their time, money and trust in our little café deserves to understand the full circumstances.

So, we will explain exactly what has happened, the reasons behind our decision and the circumstances that have brought us to this point in due course.

We will do so honestly, professionally and with as much transparency as we can.

We aren’t looking to create an argument, cause unnecessary conflict or encourage anyone to take sides. We simply believe that people deserve to have the full picture before making their own judgement.

And thank you for reminding us just how special the last three years have been.

We genuinely could never have imagined the response we have received, and it has made an incredibly difficult situation that little bit easier to face. ❤️

💔 A very difficult announcement from us…

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we have to share some news with you.

After three amazing years, our time at the café is coming to an end. Our final day of trading will be 25th October 2026.

This is not a decision we have made by choice, and honestly, it is one of the hardest posts we have ever had to write.

Over the past few weeks, we have been faced with proposed terms and requirements for a new contract at the airfield which, after careful consideration, we simply cannot realistically agree to or operate under. As a result, we have been left with no viable option but to bring our time at the café to an end.

We want to be clear about one thing though — we haven’t walked away because we stopped caring. Quite the opposite.

For the last three years, we have poured our hearts, our time, our energy and an enormous amount of ourselves into this little café. We have watched it grow, overcome challenges, build its reputation and become something we are incredibly proud of.

And none of that would have been possible without our amazing team. ❤️

Our staff have given so much to this place. They have worked incredibly hard, supported one another, looked after our customers and helped make the café what it is today.

We know this news is particularly difficult for them, and we want them to know just how much we appreciate them. They have been the heart of this café, and we will never forget what we have achieved together.

And then there is you. Our customers. ❤️

Where do we even begin?

To every person who has walked through our doors, grabbed a coffee, stopped for breakfast, brought the family, had a chat, celebrated something with us, supported us through the difficult days, recommended us to a friend or simply became a familiar face…

THANK YOU.

You have made the last three years such an incredible experience.

We have laughed with you, shared stories with you, welcomed new faces and watched so many of you become part of our café family.

We have genuinely had an absolute blast, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to welcome you through our doors.

So while this is a goodbye to the café as you know it, we don’t want it to feel like goodbye to us.

We still have six weeks together, and we intend to make the absolute most of them. 🥹❤️

Come and see us. Have that last breakfast. Grab your favourite coffee. Bring your friends. Make some more memories with us.

We will also keep you all updated about what comes next for us because, although this chapter is coming to an end, we don’t believe this is the end of our story.

There are still things to come, and we’ll share more with you when the time is right.

For now, we just want to say:

We are incredibly proud of what we built, incredibly grateful for every single one of you, and incredibly sad that this chapter is ending before we were ready for it to.

Six weeks left. Let’s make them count. ❤️☕️
