🥰 ON THE UPSIDE… 🥰

My social media has never been this busy! 😂🙈 So I’m definitely going to make the most of it!

While I’ve got lots of new people looking at my page, I thought I’d share some pictures of the cakes I’ve made recently. 🎂🧁🍰

❤️ When something bad happens, sometimes something really good can come from it. ❤️

Yes, I had some cakes stolen from the shed by someone who appeared to pretend to put money in the tin 😔 — and honestly, it was really upsetting.

BUT… the amount of support I’ve had from the local community since posting about it has been absolutely amazing. 🥹❤️ People sharing the post, coming to the shed and supporting my little business has genuinely meant so much to me.

I also want to say that I absolutely do not condone any nasty or abusive comments towards the person involved. We can be disappointed and angry about what happened without becoming nasty ourselves. I don’t want my posts to encourage that kind of behaviour — it makes us no better than the person who stole the cakes.

The person was in what looked like an old post van. If you happen to know who it was or he happens to see this post, I simply ask that the money for the cakes that were taken is paid back. That’s all I want. ❤️

I’m not going to the police because I appreciate they have far more serious things to deal with, and I’d rather just have the money for the cakes returned and draw a line under it.

So, to everyone who has supported me, shared my posts, visited the shed and bought my cakes…

Despite yesterday’s little incident with someone deciding it was okay to help themselves and pretend to pay 😬🙈, we’re back open today!

But hey… there’s no such thing as bad advertising! 😂 And honestly, the amount of support and lovely messages I’ve had from all of you has been absolutely amazing. 🥹❤️

It really does mean so much to have such a brilliant community supporting my little business, so thank you, thank you, thank you! 🥰

😪 I honestly don’t know what to say…

First day back open after having a little break away, and unfortunately it looks like about 7 cakes have been taken without being paid for. 💔

The camera even shows someone putting money in the box… but when I’ve checked, there’s no money there. 😔

I completely understand that having an honesty cake shed comes with a risk. I know not everyone is honest and that unfortunately, things like this can happen. But it’s still so upsetting, especially when you put so much time, money and effort into making everything. 🥺

Why can’t people just be honest? If you take a cake, please pay for it. Even if you’re struggling, I’d much rather someone message me and explain than simply take something.

Everything in the shed is only £2 for the whole of summer, so please don’t think it’s not worth paying for — every single £2 adds up and helps keep my little business going. ❤️

To everyone who DOES pay, supports me, shares my posts and continues to use the shed honestly… thank you. You genuinely make it all worthwhile. 🥰

Please, let’s keep the Cake Shed going and remember it’s based on trust and honesty. 🍰❤️
