An Important Update from The Amsterdam Inn
We feel it is important to address some of the rumours and comments currently circulating regarding the lack of draught b**r at The Amsterdam Inn.
First and foremost, we want to make something absolutely clear: this situation has nothing whatsoever to do with unpaid bills or financial difficulties. Any comments suggesting otherwise are simply untrue.
Unfortunately, our b**r lines are damaged and require replacement. The necessary works are the responsibility of Stonegate to arrange and complete, and the timescale for completing them is outside of our control. We cannot simply replace or alter the b**r line and dispense system ourselves without their involvement and permission.
We first reported the problems at the end of June. Since then, we have been continuously contacting Stonegate and pushing for the necessary works to be completed. Several contractors have attended the premises and there have been multiple attempts to resolve the issue, but unfortunately the b**r line system is still not fully operational.
We want our customers to understand that we are just as frustrated and disappointed by this situation as you are. We are a pub and, of course, we want to be able to offer our customers a full range of draught products. The prolonged situation is having a significant impact on our business, through circumstances that are outside of our control.
We completely understand customers asking when the draught products will return. What we do ask, however, is that people please refrain from spreading rumours that we have not paid our bills, cannot afford our b**r or are experiencing financial problems. None of these claims are true, and unfortunately such speculation causes further unnecessary damage to our business and reputation at an already extremely difficult time.
The Amsterdam Inn remains open and trading. We continue to serve food and bottled drinks while we push for the necessary works to be completed.
