And just like that, the summer is nearly over so why don’t we head out with a bang on this bank holiday weekend….

Fish & Chip Friday 🐟🍟 tomorrow evening at the cafe with a bit of trivia chucked in for good measure starting the bank holiday weekend off with quiz night. Food from 5pm & quiz to start at 6.30pm - see poster below for more details.

We are open Saturday & Sunday as normal and don’t forget that our breakfasts are extended on Sundays until 2pm, until October.

After breakfast on Sunday, why not head down to Presteigne Cricket Pavillion to enjoy the annual Super 6’s that we are so proudly sponsoring! 🏏

The club have used us many times for catering in the past so it is only right to return the favour.

We are in for a weekend full of FUN.

We have a large group booking of 30 in today at lunch, so just a heads up to expect some delays on food whilst we accommodate this table between 12 & 1 - if you’re in a rush, we will have hot pasties and sausage rolls available to grab & go.

In other news……..

Our roast baguettes have become seemingly more popular than our roast dinners with the heat so we have decided to ditch the roast dinners until October & extend our Sunday breakfast hours until 2pm starting from next week (23/8). We will of course still have our roast baguettes available. 🍳🥓

If there are any large group bookings that would like roast dinners within this time, we would be happy to accommodate.

Well goodbye June 👋

What a busy month its been!

Airfest, Buffets & outside catering, Longest day fly in & bbq, Croft Ambrey Running Club, The Radnor Valley Car Collective have all been great events that have kept us busy so thank you very much 🙌

And to really throw things into the mix, we had our long awaited Environmental Health inspection where we managed to maintain our ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

Thank you to our wonderful staff who really have worked so hard to keep us running smoothly & maintained our top marks for the score on the door. You guys are the bloody best ❤️

🥵 It’s official… it’s still piping hot

As the heat is still winning, we’ll be closing at 2:00pm latest today although the staff will be assessing the situation throughout the day. 🌞💦

Thanks for bearing with us—we’ll be back refreshed (and hopefully less toasted) soon. Stay cool, drink plenty of water, and avoid sticking to any leather seats! 😅☀️

‼️A change in the contingency plan‼️

🔥☀️ Due to the weather deciding that we’re actually living on the surface of the sun today, the café will be closing at 12:00 PM.

Our coffee machines are coping better than we are, and we’re pretty sure the cakes are considering melting into milkshakes.

To save our staff from becoming toasted paninis, we’ll be shutting up shop at midday.

☀️Tomorrows contingency plan is in place☀️

8am - Open
11am - Breakfast service stops & cold lunches only will be served.
2pm - Siesta/Close ⛱️

Even our fridges are struggling to stay at safe temperatures & so we have decided to minimize food service even more to keep our customers as well as our staff comfortable & safe.

We hope you understand & hopefully we will be back to normal service once temperatures drop on Friday.

☀️In light of the predicted weather forecast, our menus may change to reduced menu/cold meals & sandwiches only at our chefs discretions.☀️

There is around +15 degrees 🔥 in our kitchen to the outside temperature and so we ask you to co-operate with us during menu changes & longer food waiting times.

Our staff safety & wellbeing is our priority 🤝
