🍂 And just like that, tent season is over for another year! ⛺️

Autumn has arrived, and with the colder nights drawing in, it’s time to tuck our tents up for the winter. 🍁

What a season it’s been! We’ve been super busy with bookings, and we really can’t thank everyone enough who has chosen to come and stay with us at Balmichael - we appreciate every single booking. ❤️

September has definitely been our month of celebrations! 🥂 We’ve hosted a wonderful family wedding party, welcomed a wellbeing retreat, and helped celebrate some BIG birthdays. 🎂🎉 It’s been such a lovely way to round off our tent season.

Now we’re taking a little bit of time out to enjoy some family time before we reopen on Monday 19th October.

Our pods will then be open until the start of November for anyone fancying a cosy autumn escape. 🍂🔥

🥾 Come on a zoomy Guided Walk round the Laggan Loop starting at Lochranza. This 11.5km loop has everything from folklore, Arran history (millions of years ago to last century), flora, fauna, fossils, old salt mines, caves & mind blowing geology.

🌿 Our walk was led by Kate from Arran Walks and Hikes and we heard lots of stories & tales. Thoroughly recommend considering a guided walk with Kate. You'll learn so much (and get lots of extra lovely chat)!

🌄 If big skies, big views is your thing then even more reason you'll enjoy this quite technical trail. It's an opportunity to reach some fairly untouched places, it's very grounding.

Our latest weekend group was the brilliant Mindbody Gym 🌿✨

Their stay was packed with a mixture of wonderful active, mindful & grounding activities - a perfect balance with some incredible personal achievements too! 🧘🏼‍♀️🌿💪🏼

It was lovely to see our space get used for something different and filled with positive energy 💚

Well done on creating such a fantastic memorable weekend Mindbody Gym, it's inspiring to see all your off site activities & adventures!

🤍🥂 The BEST weekend celebrating our beautiful sister, her lovely husband & their gorgeous baby (already missing his happy smiles & cuddles)

We all live so far apart that this gathering meant the world to us all, especially having family to Arran! Special memories made forever 💕

So many helping hands to transform the games room into the perfect venue 💐 Super lovely to provide our own piper & drummer 🎶

Shout out to & for the delicious buffet & food truck too

🐣 When your son asks to hatch ducks, how can you possibly refuse!? 🦆

And now look what's happened... the cutest ducklings have arrived 🥺

Tiny, fluffy, ridiculously cute & already a massive distraction (we can't help but watch them)!

Safe to say our "Egg Surprise" project has been a winner... but I have a feeling we have just created a lot more work in the coming weeks 😆 🦆 💩 💦 🫧

⛺ We had such a fun Scout group staying! They came full of energy & we loved it!

🔥 Campfires, playing & glamping! So nice to see kids making memories & loving outdoor life - the leaders did a brilliant job 👏🏼

🎉 We have a few weekend takeovers coming up & can offer extra indoor barn group space!
