Now that I’ve finally mentally & physically recovered from my 17½-hour Saturday shift… 😂 I just want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone involved in WAVE’s 5th Birthday. 💚🐝

Officially The Beehive’s biggest day to date — and what a day it was!

First of all, my amazing team. You were thrown more than a few curveballs throughout the day, the biggest being all the fuses going and having to go completely old school with no tills 🤣 But you just got on with it and absolutely smashed it, as always. I’m incredibly lucky to have every single one of you.

A huge thank you to all the door staff for keeping everyone safe, looking out for us, doing your actual jobs to 100%… AND somehow completing all the stupid little extra tasks I kept giving you along the way. 😂 You guys were amazing.

To the entire WAVE gang — I have the utmost respect for you all. Seeing everybody come together as a team the way you did after Josh’s incident genuinely made me feel proud. I can only imagine how it made Josh feel seeing everyone pull together like that. 💚

And Josh… if I’d known you were going to absolutely SMASH that DJ set like you did, I might not have shouted at you quite so much that morning for lifting stuff. 🤣 What a set!

And finally, to every single person who came through our doors — thank you.

You guys are what make The Beehive what it is today. Without you, we simply couldn’t do any of this.

A special shoutout to our regulars who somehow went from customers to honorary staff members — putting bins out, collecting cups, bringing stock through and generally mucking in wherever you could. You have no idea how much that helped us. ❤️
