It’s proper roasting on Bingley Road, and we’re lucky enough to get the full sun on our side of the street all day. Unfortunately this week means we’re unlucky because it’s so hot, so we’ve made the decision to close all day on Thursday and for Friday lunch.

We will be back open on Friday evening from 5pm and as normal over the weekend. See you then! 👋🏻

Soon we will be saying goodbye to our seasonal Spring specials, so it's your last chance to eat a Casartelli 🥲

Rich house-made pesto base, sprinkled with pecorino, fava beans, spring onion, fennel, chilli and finished off with some gorgeous Bresaola.

If you're still looking for a Father's Day gift for next weekend, we’ve got two options that are guaranteed to cement your place as the favourite child.

We've got two upcoming dates scheduled for our beginners pizza course, where Simon will teach you all of his secrets and you can learn all the tricks to make your own restaurant-quality pizza at home. We have digital and physical vouchers available, and you can select a 'chosse your own date' voucher so Dad can book for when suits him best.

We also have restaurant gift cards which are good to spend on anything Il Pirata. Pizza, cocktails, desserts, lunch slices, date nights, family meals... whatever your Dad fancies. Digital cards available via our website or pop into the restaurant and we can sort you out with a nice shiny physical card to wrap up.

Better late than never eh. An ace weekend slinging slices at Taste BD, incredible customer portrait of our Elly & Cormac which is going in a frame immediately, PICKLE PABST, and the best best ever Monday evening hosting the amazing Felix, his family and friends to celebrate the final day of his cancer treatment. The Brunero is no exception. We’ve got asparagus, red onion, roasted capers, toasted pine nuts, garlic parsley drizzle, lemon zest and oregano. Literally the perfect tea on a hot day.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to everyone who visited us at .bd last weekend. Especially those troopers who braved the rain on Sunday!

Big up Eddie and the team at for putting on another ace event and asking us to be involved. And of course Lauren, Sadie, Elly, Ivy, Amelie (and her Mum!!) and Joe who all gave us a hand over the weekend. Plus our hero for always saving the day lending equipment 👑
