This golden ale full of freshness has an ABV of 4.5%. This is a less hoppy, thirst quenching and zesty ale. With blend of malted barley and wheat make this a very drinkable ale from Dorset

We are proud to finally announce this, We are in the 2027 Good B**r Guide!

The Good B**r Guide is a list of pubs over the UK which have been scored the highest ratings from CAMRA members.

We would like to thank everyone who has scored us from their visits and to our loyal customers that have supported us.

Earlier in the year we were also awarded the West Dorset C***r & Perry Pub of the Year 2026 and it’s proof that we take care of every pint we serve.

Now on the Guest Ale pump we have Cerne Abbas Brewery’s Leggless Jester!

This is a single hopped b**r made with the British hop variety Jester. This well rounded b**r has an ABV of 4.7% and described as fruited but not citrusy.

LIVE MUSIC THIS EVENING!

Join us this evening as we have our monthly live music. Returning we have Charlie Greenwood. Charlie will be doing a mixture of genres from Pop & Rock to Jazz & Soul.

We have decided to play it save and have the music inside. Charlie will be starting at 7:00pm and doing 2 sets with a break in between, music will go on till 9:00pm.

Dan will be opening the kitchen, offering evening meals that can be order before or during the evening’s entertainment.

September’s Open Mic!

Starting at 6:00pm and going till close (9:00pm) we have our open mic. We host our Open Mics on the Second Sunday of the month, which is this evening.

John will be hosting and organising the acts that are preforming, sound provided and engineering by our very own Bakerman Dan.

It’s never too late to book your next Sunday Roast with us, we even have some availability this week.

We offer a choice of four plated Sunday Roasts all served with Roast Potatoes, Potato Dauphinoise, Cauliflower Cheese, Seasonal Vegetables, Yorkshire Pudding and Gravy.

Sunday food service is from 12:00 till 3:00pm.

Choice of Roasts are:
Squash & Beetroot Wellington (Ve)
Pork Loin with Crackling & Stuffing
Chicken with Stuffing
Topside of Beef

We offer regular sized portions for £18, small for £12 & under 12’s for £10

On our Guest Ale for the rest of the week, we have Cheddar Ale Crown and Glory.

This cask conditioned premium bitter of 4.6%. It’s a delicious hoppy bitter using a blend of the finest English Hops. We had this in for the first time in November and was really well received.

Along side we have our House Ales: Palmers’ Copper, Fuller’s London Pride and St Austell’s Proper Job.
