Hello all,

We will be open as usual on Bank Holiday Monday however we will be open for drinks and cakes only (no food) for Tuesday 1st September and Wednesday 2nd September this week. With limited seating available inside on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will then be back open for food as “normal” on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This is to allow the contractors to pull up the flooring damaged by the flood and remove all damaged walls.

A restoration company will then start on Friday to dry the property before we can have the final repairs sorted.

Really sorry for any inconvenience caused and we are super grateful for your ongoing support.

Update on flood situation and repairs….

Summary of the rather long video….. the strip out starts next week, meaning we will be closed indoor dining on Monday and Tuesday (outside seating and takeaway still available). We are potentially working on a temporary location for The Cheeky Bean, will update you all when I have more info.

Hey everyone,

Just thought we would provide a little update on what’s going on (or more likely what’s not going on) with the flood damage.

As you’ve probably seen we are cooking al fresco at the moment and whilst the weather is as glorious as it has been we intend to carry on and as you can see from the pic….we are obvs enjoying it 🤣😁

We have finally heard back from the Landlord and their insurance company who just the 4 weeks later……have decided to send a restoration company to start drying the property….hopefully once this process starts we can begin removing the walls that need removing and pulling up the flooring to allow us to use the downstairs of property again.

Your support as been amazing and we cannot thank you enough for continuing to come and purchase lunch and cakes and coffee every single day and supporting us through this tricky period.

This has been an unimaginably stressful time for us and we really do mean it when we say what has kept us going has been the outpouring of love and support from everyone. In the face of unhelpfulness and frustration every single person who has shown love and concern has kept us focused and determined to continue trading, even if it’s been difficult and to keep “The Cheeky” open no matter what ❤️
