Last Thursday, The Royal Bath & West of England Society celebrated the handover of Presidents.

We were delighted to welcome Baroness Minette Batters to the Society, as she begins her year-long journey as President. Bringing a wealth of knowledge, passion and experience from her time as President of the NFU, Minette is set to make a fantastic contribution, and we look forward to an exciting year ahead.

We would also like to recognise what a remarkable year our Joint Presidents, William and Alice Fox-Pitt have had. We are incredibly grateful for the commitment and energy that they have brought to the Society.

Thank you William and Alice and a very warm welcome to Minette!

Are you joining us for the Dairy Industry Dinner? 🚜🐄

Taking place Tuesday 6th October, the night before the Dairy Show, the Dairy Industry Dinner is the perfect chance to network with other businesses in the dairy and agricultural industries.

This year, the chosen charity is WCDA – West Country Dairy Awards and we will be fundraising on the night to support the charity with their work.

This week’s throwback takes us to the Royal Bath & West Show in 1977 🕰️

This year marked the 200th anniversary of the Royal Bath & West of England Society, with a special visit from His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales - now His Majesty The King - to celebrate the milestone.

Yesterday some of our team had the opportunity to visit Bath's Guildhall to take a look at the Bath & West's Archive 📸

The archive is expansive - consisting of thousands of photographs, press cuttings, film and all things B&W related! We were even able to see the very first minutes of the meeting that started our Society back in 1777.

We'll be sharing some of our finds from the collection as we approach our 250th anniversary 👀
