Crisp golden batter, proper chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce — simple, comforting and exactly what a good pub lunch or dinner should be.

Christmas Day is nearly fully booked — we currently have just four tables left across our two sittings. 🎄

• 12pm — two tables for up to four people, plus one table for two
• 3:15pm — one table for two

These are our final available tables, so if one suits your party, please request it now to avoid disappointment.

Join us for a welcome drink, a relaxed three-course festive lunch, warm mince pies and coffee — with no cooking and no washing up.

Adults are £110 and children £55. A non-refundable £25-per-person deposit confirms your table.

It starts at The Farmers Boy on Wednesday 30 September at 7pm, then continues every Wednesday.

Bring old photos, memories or newspaper clippings, or simply pull up a chair for a chat about the people and places that have shaped our corner of HD8.

🍔 Wednesday — any burger with a pint or medium w**e for £18.95.

🥩 Thursday — two sirloin steaks and a bottle of w**e for £44.95, served from 5pm–8:30pm.

🍽️ Sunday — proper Sunday roasts from 12pm–5pm.

Doggy Breakfast Club is coming to The Farmers Boy. 🐾

Breakfast with your best mate — and make a few new ones.

Join us on Saturday 17 October, from 10am–12pm, for a relaxed morning where dogs and their people can meet, mingle and enjoy breakfast together.

We’ll have bacon and sausage sandwiches, cakes, teas, coffees and soft drinks available — plus a sausage for our four-legged guests.

No booking needed. Just bring your best mate and turn up.

Your Saturday comes with a very good soundtrack. 🎨🍽️🎶

Art at the House is open at Cliffe House today from 10am–4pm, with art, workshops, entertainment and plenty to explore.

If you’re attending, you can enjoy 20% off all food at The Farmers Boy throughout lunch and dinner service. Be sure to grab your discount voucher from Art at the House to be eligible!

Then from 4pm, the after-party takes over with art on display and live music carrying on until 11pm. It’s completely free, with no ticket or booking needed — just walk in.
