FREE ART DONATION 🎨

We have 5 large, abstract paintings by an artist who came into the cafe in the early days. Their whereabouts is unknown and we have no contact details. Therefore we felt the best thing would be to donate the paintings. They are 1 metre square canvases.

We were thinking to maybe a charity or organisation who might put it up in their offices or a corridor or other space that could do with being brightened up. Basically we want it to go to a good home in the next few days so please spread the word to anyone who might be interested.

These are all pay as you feel, some pieces are in better condition than others but all have some life left in them.

There are 3 of the green edged, lockable glass cabinets which are £100 for all three.

SOLD Lincat glass cake display is £80.

Please DM if you are interested in anything. Items must be collected, ideally by Wednesday. We'll be around a lot this week, times to be confirmed.

The Holt exists because of all the things that happen there. It exists because of the creative, fun and hard working people who share their skills and ideas with us.

Like many venues we have been closed for months now and the future is still very uncertain. The nature of the space and the type of events we do are just not viable with social distancing. It's not possible to keep to holding on indefinitely.

So, we have taken the very difficult decision that The Holt at Arundel Street will not reopen. The space has seen some really special and beautiful times which we will remember always. We hope that this isn't the end but a chance to take stock and look to exciting opportunities ahead, whether in the form of collaborations, pop ups or, if it becomes possible, setting up in a new home.

A lot of the furniture and equipment will be going into storage but there will be few bits and pieces we won't be taking so will post details here in due course.

The BIGGEST thank you to everyone who has played a part so far, both during the cafe days and since focusing on events. It wouldn't have been possible without you. 💛

There will be loads going on including a costume competition, raffle and play zone. Freshly ground coffee and loose leaf tea will be served up all day alongside sweet treats.

On Saturday 14th March will be hosting an event in partnership with social enterprise and to educate and inspire you on ways to through an afternoon of food, fun and conversation.

It is a huge shame but Mage Plays will be filming the production behind closed doors and releasing it online so you can still see it. Keep an eye on their social media for more information.
