❤️ A Little Update From Us…

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to permanently close Steelyard Coffee House & Kitchen.

I want to make one thing really clear — there has been no fallout, no drama and nothing negative behind this decision.

The simple truth is that I’ve realised I can’t give my family the time and attention they deserve while also giving the coffee shop the time, energy and attention it needs to be what I want it to be.

I absolutely love the Steelyard and everything about what’s being created there. I’m incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to be part of it, and I’ll still be supporting the Steelyard, its businesses and events — just from the other side of the counter! ❤️

I’m genuinely proud of what we created with the coffee shop, even in the relatively short time we were open. I’ve loved meeting everyone who came through the doors, seeing familiar faces return and being part of such a brilliant little community.

Sometimes you have to recognise when you’re spreading yourself too thin, and for me, my family has to come first.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, bought a coffee, grabbed some food, shared our posts, recommended us or simply popped in for a chat. It really has meant more than you know.

And a massive thank you to everyone at Steelyard for having us. There are absolutely no hard feelings whatsoever — I still love the place and I’m excited to see it continue to grow. ❤️

So this is goodbye to the coffee shop, but definitely not goodbye to Steelyard.

A Little Update ☕

After what has been an incredibly busy and demanding few months, I’ve decided it’s time to take a short break and enjoy a few days away.

As a small independent business, there’s no big team behind the scenes, so when I’m away the coffee shop has to take a little holiday too!

Thank you so much for all of your continued support, patience and understanding. Running this little business means the world to me, and taking a few days to recharge will mean I can come back refreshed and ready to do what I love.

We’ll be back open on 02/08 for Owls in the yard and back to the general public on 04/08 serving up your favourite coffees, cakes and lunches as normal.

💚 A little update from us…

Firstly, we’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding over the last week or so.

If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little quieter than usual, opening hours have been a bit inconsistent, or we’ve been a little slower to reply to messages, it’s because our beloved dog, Ralph, has been quite poorly. As many of you know, he’s a huge part of our family, and naturally he’s had to come first while we’ve been getting him through it.

The good news is that Ralph is now on the mend and recovering well. 🐶❤️

With him feeling much better, we’re looking forward to getting back to normal, reopening properly, and bringing the energy back to the coffee shop.

Thank you again for all your kind messages, support and understanding. It really has meant the world to us.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back over the coming days for great coffee, good food and a proper catch-up!
