💚 Thank you, from the bottom of my heart 💚

From opening the doors as Honey B’s in October 2023, to closing today as The Cosy Cup, this little café has been shaped by the love, kindness and support of this wonderful community. Every visit, every chat, every cup of tea has meant more to me than I can put into words.

Today is very bittersweet. This closure wasn’t planned, but it’s what’s needed for my family right now — so I can be present for my son and not miss out on his adventures. That makes this goodbye a little softer, even if it’s still hard.

The building will soon begin its next chapter as a jacket potato shop. I can’t share any details just yet, but I’ll be keeping this page open so I can let you know when the new owner is ready — we’re just waiting for the legal bits to be finished.

Thank you again, truly, for walking this journey with me. I wish you all a peaceful, cosy and magical Christmas ✨

We’re open 9am–12 noon for one last cosy morning together.

Order times for today:
🍳 Sit-in food: until 11:00am
🥪 Takeaway food: until 11:30am
☕ Sit-in drinks: until 11:45am
☕ Takeaway drinks: until 12:00 noon
We will be serving breakfast, butties and paninis as usual.

We also still have a small selection of natural dog treats and a few doggy gifts available — perfect for any last-minute Christmas surprises for your four-legged familiars 🐾✨

We’re open 9:30am–3pm today, and we’d love to see you in for one last cosy cuppa.

The counter is full of homemade treats, including light fruit cake, gluten-free brownies, and a tempting assortment of biscuits (with the ginger biscuit proudly taking the favourite spot!).

Don’t forget our winter drinks specials, perfect for a chilly day:

Our hours have changed slightly for next week due to a couple of appointments.

This Sunday (14th) - CLOSED
Monday (15th) - CLOSED
Tuesday (16th) - open 9:30-3:00
Wednesday (17th) - CLOSED
Thursday (18th) - CLOSED
Friday (19th) - 8:30-3:00
Saturday (20th) - CLOSED
Sunday (21st) - 9:30-3:00
Monday (22nd) - 9:00-12:00
Tuesday (23rd) - 9:00-12:00

Thursday (25th) - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

As you can see, there's only 7 days (including today) left to pop down to visit us.

We've had a few people asking if there's a reduced menu on the 24th. The answer is no - we will still be serving all of our butties, breakfasts and panini options, as well as our yummy drinks menu!

Good morning!

There’s a crisp little nip in the air today, but step inside and you’ll find the cafe warm, glowing, and wonderfully toasty — our trusty heater has come to the rescue once more!

And with December tiptoeing in, our Festive Menu and Seasonal Drink Specials are officially in full swing from today ✨🎄

Just a heads up - here are our hours for December.

As you're probably aware, we will be closing down permanently from when we close on Christmas Eve, but we also have a few closed days in the run up.

We will have this posted up outside of the cafe for reference, and it will be pinned to the top of our page too.

Good morning everyone!

It’s absolutely freezing out there today, but the café is lovely, warm and toasty — perfect for popping in and warming up with a comforting brew 💚

A little reminder of our Late Autumn drink specials, available until the end of this Sunday:
• Toasted Marshmallow White Hot Chocolate
• Caramellow Hot Chocolate
• Pecan Pie Latte
• Maple & Cinnamon Latte

All priced at £3.00, made in our standard takeaway cups.
All can be made dairy-free (including the whipped cream!) — except the white hot chocolate.

A quick note about the upcoming weeks:
We’re open right up until 24th December, after which we will be closing permanently.

From 1st December, our hours will be:
Monday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Sunday: 9:30am – 3:00pm
(Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday)

We will also be closed on Sunday 7th December and Thursday 18th December for family events.

🔔 Important Cafe Closure Announcement 🔔

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but with a very heavy heart, I’ve made the decision to permanently close the cafe from when we finish for Christmas at noon on Wednesday 24th December.

Anyone who’s been in over the past year will know just how much love I’ve poured into this little place. Every dish has been made fresh from scratch, and I’ve always done my best to make sure everyone left happy — whether that meant tweaking an order or simply sharing a chat over a cuppa.

But after a lot of reflection, I’ve realised I need to put my family first. Running the cafe, especially needing to open on Sundays, has meant missing out on time that I can’t get back. As much as I adore this little spot and the wonderful people who walk through its doors, it feels like the right moment to step back.

From 1st December, our opening hours will be:
Monday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30am – 3:00pm
Sunday: 9:30am – 3:00pm (closed Sunday 7th and Thursday 18th December)
Tuesday 23rd & Wednesday 24th December: 9:00am – 12:00 noon

After this, we will be permanently closed.

Rebranding from Honey B’s to The Cosy Cup was our final effort to bring a fresh spark to the café, and I’m still so proud of how it turned out. It just seems that this chapter is coming to a natural close.

Thank you all so much for your incredible support since the journey began in October 2023. I’ve loved every minute — every conversation, every smile, and every waggy tail that’s come through the door. You’ve made this place truly special, and I’ll never forget it.
