- New Menu Launching This Week -

We’re closed Monday for the bank holiday, but from Tuesday we’re launching this menu!

My first 6 months running Albie’s has been a bit of a process of figuring out what you all love most, trialling different ideas, and finding the right balance. If you’ve been in lately, you’ll probably have spotted the handwritten menus and tests along the way😅

The aim with this menu is simple: keep the old school Albie’s favourites, refine some new bits, and create something that feels familiar but fresh.

There’ll also be rotating takeaway sandwich flavours each day for anyone grabbing something quickly on the go.

We’re hiring 👀

Albie’s is on the lookout for a new front of house / barista to join our little team.

10.5 hours per week split over two shifts, Monday to Friday only, plus holiday cover.

You’ll be:
– making great coffee (obviously)
– keeping the wheels turning front of house
– chatting to customers (with a bit of charm)
– handling properrr busy rushes without falling apart

Barista experience is a must. We get very busy, so we need someone who can keep calm, move fast, and actually enjoy the chaos a bit.

I’ve been doing more early shifts recently and honestly… the smell of fresh bread arriving never gets old. We’ve even treated Jake to a new toaster to do it justice😂🍞
A lovely lady asked me today where it comes from - it’s baked every morning by the lovely people at not far from us in Kelham. Can’t go wrong with sourdough and a bit of butter 🧈

One of our regulars is usually found in the window, or sat at the outside tables, sketching whatever catches his eye. Last week our window view made it into the sketchbook.
We’re very lucky to have some seriously talented (and lovely) folk come through our door!

Joe made this mocha today and my response was alright, show off😒 but this is exactly the kind of care our baristas put into every cup🤍

Winter sun came out for five minutes today and we took it as a sign! ☀️
