Event: Free live music in the square.

Phil Johnson, one of the UK’s most in-demand session drummers, joins Sheffield guitarist Chris Walker for an evening of jazz standards, blues, and pop classics. The duo combines vocals, keyboards, and guitar to create an energetic and entertaining live performance.

Saturday 13th JUNE – Dizzy Club

Time: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Event: Free live music in the square.

Dizzy Club delivers a lively mix of Hot Club jazz, 1940s swing, Blue Note influences, Sinatra classics, and Latin rhythms. Featuring experienced musicians from the Sheffield music scene, the band is known for its joyful atmosphere and dynamic performances.

Sunday 14th JUNE – Carioca Soul

Time: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Event: Free live music in the square.

Carioca Soul blends Bossa Nova, Samba, Brazilian contemporary music, funk, and soul. Led by pianist and composer Wayne Po***ck, the band draws inspiration from Sergio Mendes and Brasil ’66, creating a vibrant and eclectic musical experience.

🎶LIVE @ LEOPOLD SQUARE – THIS WEEKEND’S LINE-UP 🎶

The Leopold Square live music & events season is now well and truly underway — showcasing some of the city’s most talented musicians every weekend throughout the summer! ☀️

Expect an exciting fusion of jazz, Latin, blues, soul, swing, contemporary hits and pop classics — with fantastic live entertainment running every Saturday & Sunday afternoon from 2pm-4.30pm through to the end of September.

PLUS!!! We’re delighted to announce from this month we’ll be launching an additional helping of live music outside in Leopold Square through the summer months. Our NEW FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE in Leopold Square programme (sponsored by FRANKLIN & SONS LTD will run EVERY FRIDAY from 6.30pm-8.30pm throughout June, July and August.

The Shambles Chris and Kelly’s musical pairing of guitar and vocals make their Leopold Square debut this week. Featuring acoustic renditions of classics from across the decades and beautifully stunning 90’s bangers like you’ve never heard them.

🎷SATURDAY 6 JUNE – PHIL JOHNSON From 2pm-4.30pm

Phil Johnson One of the UK’s most in-demand session drummers’ steps into the limelight to showcase his Vocal and Keyboard skills. With a band of Sheffield’s finest, Phil always entertains with a mix of Jazz standards, gutsy Blues, and pop classics.

🎤SUNDAY 7 JUNE – HONEYBIRDS From 2pm-4.30pm

Brought together through a mutual love of intricate close harmony, Swing music, and 1940s style and fashion, The Honeybirds are delighted to be returning to Leopold Square in 2025. Accompanied by a fabulous pianist, expect a joyful performance of super tight harmonies and perhaps a kazoo or two!
