3 x English curry awards. One Sheffield Story. 🏆

Yesterday was another incredibly busy day at Prithiraj, and in the middle of it all, we were delighted to welcome Dan Walker back from his family holiday to pick up a takeaway.

Dan has always shown us incredible support, and we’re genuinely grateful every time he chooses to visit. ❤️ Over time, he’s become much more than a customer — he’s become a friend, and his support has meant more to us than we could have imagined.

This photo also means a lot to us — our chef and team proudly standing with our 3× English Curry Awards: 🏆 2022 • 🏆 2025 • 🏆 2026.

But beyond the awards, it’s the people of Sheffield who mean the most. From our regulars to everyone who recommends us, visits us and continues to back Prithiraj — thank you. You’re the reason we’re still here, still growing and still proud to call Sheffield home.

Diners at Sheffield restaurant Prithiraj, on Ecclesall Road, had the brilliant surprise of two Sheffield legends popping in for some dinner.🤩🙌

Richard Hawley was in the venue and he was dining with Pulp’s Nick Banks. The team from the restaurant posted about the visit on Instagram.🍽️

They said: “Sheffield legend Richard Hawley swaps the stage for the kitchen, joining our head chef Sobuj to put the finishing touches to his signature Richard Hawley Special, a rich, spicy Madras-style curry with peas. Always grateful for our friend Richard’s continued support and friendship. Alongside Nick Banks.”❤️

Last year, during Pulp’s headline Tramlines set we saw Richard Hawley join Jarvis Cocker’s band on-stage.🕺
