https://www.rivaproject.co.uk/ Formed in 1998 as a 'youth club' style provision for young adults living with disabilities. Now RIVA encompasses a training room teaching independent living skills, a range of arts and crafts and lots of other fun activities, as well as visiting the local gym, cycling 4 all a

nd other external trips for adults with learning disabilities. Students can also gain retail, customer service and social experience in our sister charity The Riva cafe and charity shop. Our opening times are 9am-3pm Monday till Friday for 50-week contracts at a time. If you are interested please contact [email protected] or call us on 0114 3270808 to arrange a visit.

This morning I had a wonderful visit to the RIVA Project, where they have done a huge display of the local area inspired by my wisewood painting. It’s made from a variety of media and I’m truly honoured that they chose my painting as the basis of their display. If you pop in you can see it in person it’s worth a visit!
