We're a “proper pub”, just off the beaten track in Sheffield City Centre S1, with a beer garden (well, more of a smoking area tbh), pool table, jukebox and a Rock DJ on Saturday night. We open at 4pm in the week, and 2.30pm on a Saturday, and closing time just depends (but it won't ever be before 11pm in the week or 2am on a weekend).

We are of course still a Big Screen Free Zone, but we've nothing against people who want to watch a game! So you are very welcome to follow the matches on your phone (we're not Sam Smiths!) or pop in for a pint before and/or after watching elsewhere. Of if you want to avoid it completely, just spend the evening here and listen to some tunes :-)

This Friday it's Hook a Duck again, and once we've finished, we'll re-purpose the "duckpond" as a paddling pool :-)

We're opening early, at 2.30pm today to give you more time for pub-priced drinks before the Arena, and we'll obviously b...

We're opening early, at 2.30pm today to give you more time for pub-priced drinks before the Arena, and we'll obviously be open after the gig too, potentially 'til 2am if we have people in. But if you all bu**er off to bed, so will we, so we'd probably recommend not going somewhere else first, and expecting us to still be open, just in case...

If you've not been to the Dove before, you'll find us hidden away behind the Bankers Draft Spoons at Castle Square Tram Stop (nice and handy for the Arena, and the City centre Hotels!). You can get to use by either alleyway, next to TenPin or the not yet opened chicken shop, and you are welcome to bring tea or supper in with you from MaccyDs, or wherever else you like.

If you're saving your pennies and not going, you can still enjoy the pre and post Gig atmosphere, and late opening at the Dove, and just put some Leppard (or indeed anything else) on the jukebox!

Mr Ted says he has heat-stroke, but we think he's been on the booze again. In broad daylight, and it's not even midday yet - shocking! Open as usual from 4pm, and you can keep yourself cool with a nice beer or 3, or we've got plenty of ice for those £10 cocktail Pitchers. And here's today's Public Service Announcement /fun fact: Apparently it helps cool you down if you keep your socks in the freezer - we assume they mean clean ones, before you've worn them! :-)

We'll be opening early, at 2.30pm, to give you more time for pub-priced drinks first, and we'll obviously be open after the gig too, potentially 'til 2am if we have people in.
