North Manchester’s favourite big band is back after its summer break – and this time, we’re bringing a touch of Las Vegas to The Shawside, Shaw!
Join us on Monday 28th September for A Swinging Vegas Evening – a spectacular night of timeless big band classics and iconic swing favourites made famous by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Michael Bublé… and more!

Round one of the Carabao Cup as Oldham travel to Stoke. We will be showing the match on all our screens including our giant outdoor screen as the weather is looking good. We’re open from 12 noon with a 3pm kick off

Well it’s not the game we wanted to play in if we’re honest, but it’s a tasty fixture nonetheless. The sun is shining and the b**r is cold. We have a busy evening at the Shawside but can confirm we will be showing the 3rd place World Cup fixture between England and France on all screens inside and out

Well that’s a wrap as our World Cup journey at the Shawside comes to an end.

Over the last month, we turned The Shawside into something truly special. The atmosphere, the passion, the singing, the laughter, the celebrations and the memories are something none of us will ever forget.

A massive thank you goes to:

❤️ Our incredible bar staff,Sian and temp staff, who have worked tirelessly day and night. You have gone above and beyond every single game. The timings haven’t been ideal but the team have smashed it.

💪 Our fantastic security team – We’ve welcomed close to 5000 fans across this World Cup run and it’s testament to this team that we have had no bother. We pride ourselves on being a safe and secure venue for all.

🧼 Our Cleaning team who have arrived early to a few sights and have got us s***k and span. Billy from DR Loos who has provided and serviced our additional portaloos and urinals

🎧Our Djs and singers, who kept the atmosphere bouncing before every kick off and turned every matchday into a proper event.

🍕 The team at Pop up Pizza Project, who have been with us for every single England game, serving incredible food and keeping all well fed.

🏡 To our neighbours and the residents. We know there has been extra noise, extra traffic and extra parking over the past few weeks. We genuinely hope we’ve managed it as responsibly as possible, and we thank you for your patience, understanding and for allowing Shaw to come together behind England.

📺 🖥️ Rick, Jim and Mike Synk Events Limited. We pushed the boat out this year and the service we received was top class. The screen and audio was the biggest and best around.

🧍🏼‍♂️🧍🏾🧍🏼‍♀️To our customers 👏👍👌. We’d genuinely like to thank each and every one of you that purchased a ticket and came and supported the Shawside and the team. This has massively helped us plan and become more organised for each and every game.

👨‍🔧 Last but not least a massive shout out and quite possibly achieving the man of the match award goes to Rick from RBS Electrical Services. Our on site electrician turned handyman turned multi tasker. He has stood by me and Katie from open till close all tournament and helped us take things to another level.

We dared to dream. Whilst football didn’t quite come home, together we created something special and have made some mega memories.

👀 We are already planning our other events and the Euros as we adapt and evolve.
