We are closed on Fridays so we thought we would take the opportunity to raise funds for our charity Kafuta Tumbung School Trust on one of those Fridays

We established the charity in 2013 following a visit to a remote village in the Gambia . This has led to us building two schools in the village which we run and now benefit 270 children where there were no educational facilities.

So on Friday 21st August between 12-4 we will have tables selling children’s books, antiques and collectibles , general items along with a tombola and homemade scones to take home . Drinks will be on offer to with all proceeds going to the school.

Watching the team today led by Coryn - Nicola, Terry, Bev, Tom, Brandon & Amber (Charlie & Elaine are off) we are super proud of the way they are working this season . It has been exceptionally busy and of course the weather has thrown in even more challenging conditions . Yet they stay happy and conscientious through the day. They work wonderfully as a team and we know they want to make sure our visitors have a great experience. I know many of you make a point of thanking them and that is greatly appreciated . Of course you can also vote for them in the Red Funnel Awards.

Just to let you lovely people know that this Sunday 2nd August , we are having our annual staff SUN DAY . Which means we are closed so our fantastic team can have an additional day of rest in the sun or attend one of the many summer events going on around the island . I am sure you will agree they deserve it . Business as usual the rest of the week
