Christmas at Virginia Hayward starts long before the first hamper is packed.

One of the first signs that our busiest season is approaching is the arrival of thousands of hamper baskets at our Dorset warehouse.
Each container can hold between 2,000 and 4,500 baskets, with our warehouse team unloading the entire container in around 1.5 hours.
But thatโ€™s only the beginning.

The baskets are stacked onto pallets, labelled, wrapped and moved to their designated locations across our warehouse โ€“ a process that can take up to another four hours.
Itโ€™s a carefully coordinated operation and just one small glimpse of the work that goes on behind the scenes to prepare for Christmas.

Over the coming months, these empty baskets will become beautifully presented Christmas hampers, filled with food and drink and sent to customers, businesses and their recipients across the UK.
One container emptied. Thousands of baskets safely stored.

And then the next one arrives.
Christmas 2026 is well and truly underway at Virginia Hayward. ๐ŸŽ„
