The new season hops are up!

This year’s hops have been harder than ever to source, so we’re delighted with the end result and can’t wait to share them with you.

Join us this Friday between 5.30pm - 9pm for our annual Hop Pickers Night where we bring back a little of that old Kent tradition, with live music from ‘The Cockney Pianist’, alongside London pie ‘n’ mash and fish market seafood specials.

Hop Pickers Night – Friday 25 September

Join us at The George & Dragon for our annual Hop Pickers Night, celebrating an old Kent tradition. Every September for decades, entire families would make the annual journey from the East End of London to Kent for their hop-picking summer holidays. By 1972 the tradition was beginning to die out.

As the new season hops go up above our bar this year, join us on Friday 25 September between 5.30pm - 9pm as we bring a little of that tradition back, with live music from ‘The Cockney Pianist’, alongside London pie 'n' mash and fish market seafood specials.
