It is impressive enough that Queen Elizabeth I allegedly stayed at the pub, let alone the Guy Fawkes rumours. Legend has it that The George & Dragon was where Fawkes hatched his infamous gunpowder plot and that it was also the place where he was captured after fleeing London when it failed.

Space is a little limited due to our layout so if you would like to watch the match with us we would recommend arriving early to get a good spot…
