Such an emotional day today. Lots of tears…. 😢
I’m trying to keep it together as I write this. I love The Tearoom, I love the friends I’ve made, it feels cosy, safe & part of the community. I love that I get to spend time with my amazing family & friends. I love my nephew pops in, my kids help me so much. Mum, you’re fabulous. I’m going to miss our chats on the sofa! I could go on & on.
The tears are streaming now!!😢😢
I’ve met so many wonderful people. Our fabulous Chatty Cafe has even been in Chat magazine! 😂 ( Im going to miss Chatty Table so much! )
Despite all of the above, The Village Tearoom will be closing its doors on Saturday 21st December, a decision that hasn’t been taken lightly. This year has been amazing but tough. We’ve run 2 tearooms & I’ve worked my socks off to make sure both were amazing. I need to look after myself & we’ve made the logical decision to concentrate on Lullingstone Castle & the World Garden Tearoom. Hopefully I will be able to have a better life/work balance. It’s beautiful, magical & a special place to be. It’s extremely sad to be closing the Tearoom, but I know it’s the right decision. I want to thank everyone for their support & friendship. It wouldn’t have been as much fun without you all.
If I see you before now & the end of Saturday, expect a hug & tears…… that’s just me!
Love you all ❤️❤️❤️
I’m off to get some tissues! 😢❤️❤️❤️
