⚡️Café Chef – Sevenoaks⚡️

We’re looking for a Café Chef to join the team at Life on High x Three Sisters — a neighbourhood café-restaurant in the heart of Sevenoaks.
The food is simple, seasonal and ingredient-led. Breakfast and lunch service with one weekend day each week, and room to grow with us as we build the next stage of our kitchen.

You’ll need solid cooking experience and a genuine love of good food. Someone who enjoys working with fresh produce, has a feel for flavour, and takes pride in what they put on a plate.

What we offer:
– Excellent hourly rate plus tronc
– 3–5 shifts per week (we’re flexible)
– One weekend day each week
– Supportive, friendly kitchen environment
– Real input into menus and specials
– A healthy work–life balance

If you’re a confident cook who’s looking for a place where food and people matter equally — and wants to be part of an independent café doing things properly — we’d love to hear from you.

Send a quick message or CV to [email protected] — or just drop by for a chat.

⚡️Life on High x Three Sisters⚡️

Three Sisters are moving into the heart of Sevenoaks, joining forces with Life on High. Together we’re creating a neighbourhood spot — lively, relaxed, and all about good food, good wine, and good company.

Our first dinner service is Friday 3rd October, with Friday evenings continuing from then on. As we settle in, we’ll grow into more days — breakfast, lunch, and supper — and yes, our cinnamon buns will be there to start your mornings.

Expect a short weekly menu that changes with the seasons, built around the best local produce, natural wines, and the people we love working with.

Look forward to seeing you all

Summer is drawing to its height, and it’s a busy, abundant time at Three Sisters. From tending the beds and planning autumn sowings, to working with new suppliers and shaping menus for the supper club, the season is about bringing the growing and the cooking together onto the plate.

This week’s weather looks promising, so the menu needed to be one you can dip, share and feast on. We begin with a Plum & Sumac Sour — tart, bright, and refreshing, made with late-summer plums balanced by the citrusy tang of sumac.

Then to the table: a spread of mezze — hummus topped with crisp fried chickpeas, lifted with sesame za’atar and pickled chillies for bite. Alongside, our M’smen flatbreads, made with natural levan, layered with ghee and charred over wood for a smokey, flaky finish.
From the mangal, North Weald lamb seftali kofte — minced lamb seasoned with Turkish herbs, shaped into the classic oval and grilled over coals, the smoke giving that depth you can’t get any other way. With it comes muhammara, the Levantine dip of roasted peppers, walnuts, cumin, pomegranate molasses and lemon — sweet, nutty, and a little spicy. There’s also charred hispi cabbage hearts, dressed with cooling yogurt sauce and drizzled with Aleppo butter for a big hit of flavour.

And to finish, something that feels like summer on a plate — a lemon-glazed yogurt cake, soaked and scented, served with Sun Sweet melon gently turned into a rose-scented compote, and a spoonful of kaymak, the Turkish clotted cream that makes everything taste indulgent.

We begin with a cocktail perfect for summer — equally suited to a long boozy lunch or a sunny evening. Inspired by the classic mimosa, we blend fresh sweet navel oranges with Campari, finishing with a dash of orange bitters. It’s bright, refreshing, and a nod to the Garibaldi served at Dante in NYC — a modern classic that feels just right this time of year.

To start, pillowy focaccia topped with thick slices of Grezzina courgette — grown in Lazio and sourced from our friends at Natoora while we wait for the English season to begin. Finished with wild oregano and good olive oil, it’s a deceptively simple combination that always surprises with how good it is.

Next, our take on chicken Parmigiana — a proper favourite. Free-range chicken is marinated overnight, breaded and crisped, then baked with a slow-cooked San Marzano tomato and herb ragù. The tomatoes are first roasted to bring out their sweetness, then gently simmered for up to six hours. It’s topped with house-made mozzarella, crafted using Jersey milk from Park Farm in Brasted — rich and creamy, just right for this dish.

On the side, a Caesar salad done our way: crisp sweetheart lettuce, toasted rosemary & parmesan croutons, shaved aged parmesan, and a whipped herby Caesar ranch dressing to bring it all together.
To finish, a celebration of cherries — some of the best we’ve tasted in years. Grown just down the road in Kent, they bake into a soft almond clafoutis, with a cherry jam made from the ripest fruits and a generous spoon of Northiam Dairy cream from Rye Harbour. Simple, summery, and a lovely way to end.

We start with a sharp, classy aperitif — fresh-pressed Florida grapefruit shaken with botanical gin, Blanco vermouth, and burnt orange bitters. Crisp, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. One is rarely enough.
To snack on, a simple but beautiful plate of thin-sliced Rosette de Lyon salami, roasted Marcona almonds, and curls of aged Pecorino. Finished with cracked black pepper, bright SkapÉti olive oil, and a little lemon zest. Effortlessly good with your first drink.
To follow, slow-cooked Aberdeen Angus brisket — brined, air-dried, rubbed with black pepper and oregano, then grilled over wood before finishing low and slow in our outdoor oven for 4–5 hours until tender. Served with sharp salterns mustard mayo and our mangal chopped salad: winter Iberico tomatoes, sweet roast onions, charred bull’s horn peppers, chopped parsley, Aleppo pepper, and a drizzle of pomegranate molasses.
Alongside, confit roast potatoes — golden, crisp-edged, and soft in the middle — served with cool sour cream and chives. The kind of side dish you can’t stop picking at.
And to finish, a dark chocolate burnt Basque cheesecake — rich, silky, and deeply satisfying — served with Crema di Caffè, our nod to a classic tiramisu.
